The truth is that, as we have been saying for some time now, every presentation must involve a change in your audience. So being able to persuade them to make that change is crucial to the success of your presentation.

People follow you because they have no choice. The title or position you hold obliges them to do so. However, at this level you only get minimum effort and minimum energy from your followers. In other words, they will follow you only as long as the obligation lasts.
Taken to the realm of presentations, this level would be equivalent to the audience listening to you only because they cannot do otherwise, only because you hold the title of speaker and they hold the title of listener. Therefore, interest will be low, distractions will be high and the final result will be very poor.
